Baldur’s Gate 3 player stunned after Yugir appears at camp

Baldur’s Gate 3 was one of the biggest games of 2023. As well as winning the Game of the Year award, Baldur’s Gate 3 impressed fans with its in-depth storytelling, customization, and more.
And while the game may be over six months post-release, fans of the game are still discovering new interactions, secrets, and more thanks to the massive scope of it all.
For one Baldur’s Gate 3 player, a simple trip back to camp turned out to be much more than meets the eye. The player posted an image on Reddit, revealing that they were visited by none other than Yugir, an interaction that many did not know was possible.
The reason for this rare interaction comes from choices that players will likely have already made prior to this moment.
For example, many Baldur’s Gate 3 players may have already killed Yugir at this point in the game in order to help Astarion, another beloved companion in the game.
However, a fellow player pointed out that, “he only comes to camp I believe if you help him by killing the rat dude. When you meet him in House of Hope you can get him on your side with a roll but I believe if you rat dude it, he’s just on your side.”
While other BG3 players noted that they too have had the encounter, the vast majority were completely shocked by the moment.
One Redditor commented, “I did not know he could be present in the camp!” Another added, “This only happens if you help him not kill him right? I’ve always killed him to help Astarion.”
As well as commenting on their surprise, Baldur’s Gate 3 fans were also curious if his presence at camp makes Yugir an option to romance. However, those who have experienced the encounter revealed that Yugir will reject you if you do try to romance him.
“He says he has to leave quickly otherwise ‘his absence will be noticed’. He poofed away as soon as our conversation ended,” added another player when asked if you can romance Yugir during this interaction.
