Twitch and YouTube star Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has come up with an AUG loadout that he believes is pretty broken, and might just be the “most overpowered class” in Warzone.

Since the switch to Cold War Season 2, the AUG has become a pretty popular choice with Warzone players, even though it’s not as fast as the FFAR or MAC-10.

The tactical rifle deals decent damage across a multitude of ranges and can be the perfect partner for an assault rifle or sub-machine gun in a custom loadout.

It’s become the weapon of choice for many streamers, including NICKMERCS, who, despite differing from the game’s meta, believes he’s got a “broken” setup for the Cold War AUG.

Cold War’s AUG is a deadly weapon in Season 2.

The FaZe Clan member revealed his new setup in his March 12 video, explaining that players had been crying out for a burst gun meta and now they’ve got it with the changes to the AUG.

“On the AUG, there’s a lot of different ways you can build this but really there are only one or two ways that work. If you guys haven’t leveled up your AUG yet, if you haven’t used it in Warzone, you’re just wrong and you need to get right,” said Nick, hyping the AUG up.

As he notes, his setup is a little bit different to meta, seeing as he’s using a front grip instead of the Field Agent Foregrip that he was previously using. “In all honesty, it still bangs the same way,” Nick added.

NICKMERCS’ AUG Warzone loadout

  • Muzzle: Agency Silencer
  • Barrel: 18.2″ Strike Team
  • Optic: Axial Arms 3x
  • Underbarrel: Front Grip
  • Ammunition: 45 Rnd Drum

Nick notes that the way he setups the AUG is “broken,” in a good way, and will easily wipe out enemy squads at pretty much any range.

Whether or not everyone starts to follow in his footsteps, though, is unknown. Some Warzone players don’t want to conform to the meta, and would rather use what they know and love.
