Call of Duty: Vanguard’s first round-based zombies map Shi No Numa was added in the Season 4 Update — but it looks like Treyarch may not be done there.

Vanguard Zombie players are extremely upset with the lack of support for Zombies and have been pleading for a round-based map ever since the game’s initial launch.

Treyarch opted to turn away from round-based gameplay in Vanguard and instead focused on players completing objectives, a decision that went down poorly with the Zombies community.

Zombies fans finally had their prayers answered, as Vanguard received its first round-based Zombies map Shi No Numa in the Season 4 Update. After months of anguish, it looks like Shi No Numa may be the start of a new chapter.

Treyarch teases more round-based content

CoD YouTuber MrDalekJD pointed out in Treyarch’s Shi No Numa blog post that it was labeled as the “first” classic, round-based Zombies experience in Vanguard.

The YouTuber said, “It almost sounds like this won’t be the only map coming to Vanguard?”

The Treyarch community Twitter account responded with an eyes emoji which seems to confirm that MrDalekJD’s suspicions are correct.

Call of Duty: World at War was also set during World War II so it makes sense for Treyarch to add maps such as Shi No Numa to Vanguard.

It will be interesting to see if any of the other infamous World at War Zombies maps – Nacht Der Untoten, Verruckt, or Der Riese – are next in line for a Vanguard reimagining.

Zombies fans will just have to wait at the edge of their seats until future plans are officially confirmed.
