YouTube’s most-subscribed creator, Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg, browsed his subreddit in a recent video, which featured a heartwarming tribute to the late ‘Lazy Town’ actor Stefan Karl Stefansson.

The subreddit featured a screenshot of Karl’s YouTube channel, which PewDiePie’s fanbase had helped reach over million subscribers.

PewDiePie himself appeared to be happy with this development.

“We did it,” he said, clapping his hands. “Very nice, everybody. A nice little departure gift for our guy, Stefan Karl. Rest in peace.”

Karl, known for playing character ‘Robbie Rotten’ in the children’s show ‘LazyTown,’ passed away of cancer in August 2018 at age 43.

PewDiePie addressed Karl’s death in a ‘Meme Review’ video shortly after the actor’s passing, wherein the YouTuber paid him tribute by reminiscing on the widely-popular ‘We Are Number One’ meme borne from the Lazytown show.

“When someone passes away, it’s frowned upon to make jokes about it,” he stated in the video. “With Stefan being so active on Reddit and involved in the meme community… I thought it was a very nice thing to see how many people memed Stefan in such a positive way.”

He likewise placed links in the video’s description that led to donations for organizations like the American Cancer Society, and encouraged his viewers to sign a petition to raise a statue in Karl’s image.

It appears as though PewDiePie’s community has found yet another way to pay Karl tribute as a final ‘thank you.’
