Streamer breaks down in tears calling her dad after getting big donation

Twitch streamer ‘thatgalpaigee’ got quite emotional after a viewer decided to give her a large donation to help her buy a Nintendo Switch.

The streamer was playing Minecraft and chatting with her viewers on March 25 when her eyes suddenly grew wide as a donation popped up on her screen for $154.

“What the f**k just happened?” she gasped, her jaw dropping in disbelief. “Someone just donated one hundred and fifty four dollars!”

“Their name was just ‘Dream!’” she told her companion. “What the f**k? I can’t even speak!”

The speechless streamer’s good fortune didn’t stop there, either, as the donor gave her another $46 to make it an even $200. She was so stunned that she decided to call her dad to  tell him the good news.

“Hi dad,” she began. “You won’t believe what just happened! Someone donated $200.”

“Who? You’re kidding me!” her father responded.

“I’m not!” she proclaimed, fighting back the tears of happiness.

“That’s great. Are you excited?” her dad asked, but the streamer couldn’t hold back her emotions and started to cry on camera.

Meanwhile, the donor was watching all of this unfold on his end, and posted her reaction to Twitter.

“A random Twitch streamer had a donation goal of $200 to get a Switch, so I donated it, and her reaction was way too wholesome not to share with everyone,” he wrote.

Watching a clip of the wholesome moment from his own stream, viewers can hear the donor react to her tears, who was pleasantly surprised – if a bit humored – that she phoned her father to tell him the good news.

With so much negativity and uncertainty in the world at the moment, this gesture is a good reminder of the good that exists, too. Hopefully, she’ll be able to get her Switch and start streaming some Nintendo games in the future.
