State of Decay 3 is the latest survival-horror title from the hard-working people at Undead Labs. Whilst the team continues to support previous entries in the series, here’s everything we currently know about State of Decay 3.

There’s a lot of love for the State of Decay games as they typically feature a ton of unruly, hostile zombies, but rather untypically discourage combat against them. Whilst you can engage them, it’s easy to become overwhelmed, and the player should instead focus their efforts on fortifying their position, recruiting survivors, and strengthening their foundation.

This formula has resulted in two successful Zombie games, as well as State of Decay 3 which is on the way. Since its Xbox reveal in 2020, we hadn’t heard much noise regarding State of Decay 3 until further footage of the game emerged at the Xbox Showcase 2024.

Does State of Decay 3 have a release date?

There is no release date for State of Decay 3 just yet, with the game still very much in its development phase. The most recent look at the game at the Xbox Showcase 2024 unfortunately offered no further clarity on even a potential release window.

What platforms will State of Decay 3 be on?

State of Decay 3 will be released on Xbox, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, according to the game’s official website. The Xbox Showcase 2024 confirmed that it will also arrive on Game Pass on day one. Like previous games in the franchise, State of Decay 3 will not be available on PlayStation.
