Cardi B went “missing” all over the world before blacking out her social media, and fans are convinced her comeback album is coming soon.

Believe it or not, it’s been six very long years since Cardi B released a full-length album. Invasion of Privacy, her label debut, saw the rapper planting her flag in the genre with spitting lyrics and a style all her own.

But the Cardi B dry spell seems to be over as the rapper went “missing” on February 24 and has since blacked out her social media pages. Many artists wipe their pages clean as a way to restart for a new musical era, so it’s safe to assume the rapper’s comeback is imminent.

On Twitter/X, Cardi B fans have been following the clues to piece together what exactly has been going on and see if they can predict when a lead single and album might be coming.

Cardi B readies comeback album

The new era began when Cardi B’s official fan account posted a short clip of someone pulling a fire alarm on Twitter/X. “Wanna play a game?” the account captioned.

On February 24, the same account posted a Where’s Waldo puzzle. In tandem, “missing” person posters popped up in cities all over the world, from Miami to somewhere in France.

Speculation escalated on February 27 as “Where is Cardi” trended on Twitter/X. Even billboards appeared in Times Square, claiming the search for the rapper was an “open investigation.” The rapper then blacked out her social media pages, essentially confirming an album is on the way.

CardiBAllAccess also shared a cryptic video of Azalea Banks, in which the rapper asks, “How could you not say c*nt?” According to the fan account, the clip is a teaser to the whereabouts of Cardi B, or rather an indication of the rapper’s forthcoming sophomore effort.

A separate fan then speculated that the rapper’s new album could arrive on April 18.
