Pokemon fans actually love “amazing” ugly bootleg figures

Pokemon fans always have an incredible variety of official merchandise to pick from – but sometimes, there’s nothing like a terrible bootleg to get fans talking.

While the official Pokemon merchandise is (almost) always fantastic, there’s a certain charm to the ridiculous knock-offs that can be seen floating around the internet.

One Pokemon fan took to social media recently to share their discovery of a handful of mildly cursed Pokemon figures. This kickstarted a chain of replies from other fans who had their own hilarious bootleg toys to share.

Pokemon fans in hysterics over terrible Pokemon figures

Originally being shared in this Reddit post, Pokemon fan cat_astr0naut shared their incredible bootleg findings. The response was, predictably, fantastic.

In the original post’s caption, cat_astr0naut described the knock-off Arceus and Bagon action figures as “so ugly, it’s amazing” and we’d be inclined to agree.

One user in the replies affectionately nicknamed them “Arkus and Bag”, while another went for “Argooth and Blaggin” instead.

There were plenty of replies showing off other cursed figures, with one particular standout being this excellent Deoxys figure.

One user joked that the Deoxys was them “when they see a snack or perhaps a treat” and another confessed that they used to think that Deoxys had a pink shiny form because they had the exact same toy as a child.

There’s a certain beauty to bootleg merchandise, especially when it features such iconic characters. One Pokemon fan in the thread declared “they’re awful and stupid looking and I want to know where I can get some” which about sums it up.
