For those stuck grinding Characadet to evolve it into Armaroudge or Ceruledge, here’s a primer on the strengths of each in Pokemon Go.

The Paldea region introduced Pokemon fans to Charcadet, a Pokemon that could evolve into two different creatures: Armarouge and Ceruledge. Charcadet’s evolution in those games was influenced by what version the player was using.

In Pokemon Go, Charcadet can evolve into either of those two creatures. But, which one should you choose?

Here’s a look at the pros and cons of evolving Charcadet into Armarouge or Ceruledge.

Armarouge

Armarouge is a Fire/Psychic-type that is one of two different evolution types of Ceruledge

This Pokemon does have advantages, including a better Max CP stat. And, Armaroudge does have a slight overall edge when it comes to PvP play.

For PvP play purposes. Armourage has the edge over Ceruledge in the Great and Master Leagues. Per PvPoke, XL Armarouge ranked #135 in the Master League over Ceruledge (#147). Thus, PvP players may want to opt for Armourage.

Ceruledge

Ceruledge is a Fire/Ghost-type Pokemon with slightly better overall stats than Armarouge.

While Armarouge has it beat when it comes to CP and Stamina, Pokemon Go Hub‘s database indicates Ceruledge has the edge when it comes to Attack and Defense. Thus, it was a slightly higher DPS than Armarouge.

Additionally, Ceruledge does rate better in Ultra League PvP play as compared to Armarouge. While Armarouge is better for the Great League format per PvPoke, Ceruledge does rate slightly better in the Ultra League (#216) than Armourage (#221).
