One of the biggest televised singing competitions is set to return in February 2024. Here’s everything you need to know before streaming it.

Season 22 of the hit ABC reality show is set to return to fans’ screens on February 18, 2024.

Every year, American Idol picks out a group of vocally talented people from across the States and allows them to showcase their singing skills nationwide.

Remote auditions for the competition took place from August 2 to September 8, 2023, along with several open-call auditions. From all of those, the producers selected a skilled vocalist who would then be invited to audition in front of the judges.

Is there a trailer for American Idol Season 22?

The Trailer for American Idol Season 22 dropped on 29 December 2023, a month before the announced premiere date. The producers decided to keep it interesting by making it Wizard of Oz-themed.

American Idol Season 22: Meet the Hosts

The American TV personality and show host, Rayan Seacrest, is set to return to American Idol, along with judges Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie. All the judges can be seen together in the recent sneak peek, which dropped on January 31, 2024.

Katy Perry is also returning to the singing competition – however, Season 22 will be her last with American Idol, as she announced her exit this year.

American Idol Season 22 live episodes will air on ABC from 18 February 2024 every Sunday at 8 p.m. ET.

Later, the show will be available on on streaming websites such as Hulu, Live TV, FuboTV, and YouTube TV.
