A woman was rattled after her job asked her to stay in the same bed with another colleague during their company trip.

TikToker Colette took to the platform to ask her followers, “Would you share a bed with a colleague on a company trip?”

Flabbergasted by what prompted her to ask, Colette said she never expected to be asked by her employer to share a bed with an unfamiliar person.

Viewers have since answered her question by saying they would “absolutely not” share a bed with someone while on a company trip.

TikTok viewers outraged at company’s suggestion for colleagues to share bed

Colette was about to leave for her company trip to Paris when she was stopped in her tracks. Before leaving, her job sent her an email stating that not only would colleagues potentially be sharing a room, but also a bed.

Taking to TikTok to express her shock, Colette explained that she “had to read the email, like, three times over.”

Though it wasn’t mandatory to stay in the same room or bed as a colleague, Colette was taken aback that it was an “encouraged” option.

Colette then said she could “stalk” her colleagues’ LinkedIn accounts and put a random name down without them knowing, which is exactly what she didn’t want to have happen to her.

After posting her now-viral TikTok, viewers were just as outraged, “This actually feels illegal,”

While another agreed, “Lawsuit.”

Some even shared their own experiences, “I work for a Small startup. Our Senior Director of CS and our VP of Sales were basically forced to share a bed. They’re both over 50…”

Wrote someone else, “I had a corp retreat. I had to share a room with a coworker and they expected we would share a bed. I wasn’t asked. I brought an air mattress.”

While it was clear that Colette drew a line in the sand and stood firm on her opinion, she did not specify if she was ever stuck with another colleague during her trip to Paris.
