Boruto from Boruto Part 2

The second part of Boruto is back and already considered a must-read in the manga community. So, let’s discuss Boruto Two Blue Vortex release schedule and where to read the manga.

Boruto Two Blue Vortex is a direct sequel of 2016’s Boruto: Naruto the Next Generations. Like the original series, the manga’s Part 2 is overseen by Masashi Kishimoto, Naruto’s creator, and illustrated by Mikio Ikemoto. But unlike the first part, the second part doesn’t have Ukyou Kodachi in the writer’s chair, giving Kishimoto more control over the story.

Boruto Part 2 picks up three years after the events of Part 1. After Kawaki has Eida change everyone’s memories with her Omniscience, Konoha believes Boruto killed Naruto and Hinata, and Kawaki is their real son. Thanks to this, Boruto is led into hiding and is protecting the village from the shadows.

Unlike the controversial first part, Boruto Two Blue Vortex is being praised by readers for its gripping storyline, detailed contribution to the world-building, and the growth of the characters. Find out when the manga releases, where to read it, and how many chapters it has.

Where can you read Boruto: Two Blue Vortex?

Kawaki

Boruto Two Blue Vortex can be read on Shueisha’s official platforms, Manga Plus and Viz Media as well as Viz’s mobile app Shonen Jump. While the manga can be digitally on the above-mentioned platforms, it’s also released in Shueisha’s V Jump magazine.

The second part of Boruto began serialization in V Jump #10 after the first part concluded in April 2023.

The storyline of Boruto Two Blue Vortex follows Boruto coming back to Konoha after spending three years hiding. However, the world he left behind and what he comes back to are wildly different. Naruto and Hinata are declared dead to the world while in truth, they are kept unconscious inside the Isshiki Otsutsuki’s pocket dimension.

Boruto has been erased from people’s memories who think of him as the Uzumaki couple’s killer and Kawaki their true son. Even Himawari has also forgotten who her real brother is. Kawaki did all this in his obsessive need to protect Naruto and his loved ones and his paranoia of Boruto’s mind being taken by Momoshiki.

As Boruto returns to Konoha in Boruto Part 2, the stones finally begin to shift. There are formidable villains looking for Naruto to get to his Bijuu chakra, with Sasuke already taken care of by them. Now our hero must reunite with those he had to leave behind to save the world.

How many chapters are in Boruto Two Blue Vortex?

Himawari Uzumaki and Kurama

There are 10 chapters in Boruto Two Blue Vortex so far.

As the manga only just began, it is in its first story arc: Boruto’s Return Arc. The total number of chapters in this arc is still unknown since it’s presumably only at its first half. However, every chapter in this arc has been very important to the story with significant development and plot twists.

Boruto Two Blue Vortex Chapter 1 is titled ‘Boruto’ and it sees Sarada trying to talk to Shikamaru, the Eighth Hokage, about Boruto, hinting she hasn’t completely forgotten Boruto. This is also the chapter Boruto comes back to Konoha.

Chapter 2, called ‘Tree’, shows Boruto fighting his former friends as he’s attacked after coming to the village. The next chapter, ‘Uzuhiko’, is named after Boruto’s new technique Rasengan: Uzuhiko.

Boruto Two Blue Vortex Chapter 4 is titled ‘The Awakening’ and it introduces the major antagonists of this arc: Jura, Hidari, and Matsuri. Chapter 5, ‘Target’, finally shows Sasuke and reveals his fate after the timeskip. This is followed by Chapter 6, ‘Three Years’ , where the plot thickens with multiple subplots coming together.

The next chapter is Boruto Two Blue Vortex Chapter 7 and is called ‘The Whereabouts of the Sun’. The title is a reference to Boruto and Mitsuki’s relationship as the former best friends come face to face in this chapter. Next is Chapter 8, ‘It Doesn’t Matter’, and ends with a thrilling cliffhanger where Jura mistakes Himawari for Naruto.

Boruto Two Blue Vortex Chapter 9 is very important. It’s titled ‘Nine-Tails’ and has Kurama come back after his death in the Kawaki Arc in Part 1. This chapter is followed by Chapter 10, ‘Kernal’, which shows Himawari finally unleashing her first Bijuu mode after Inojin is impaled by Jura.

The upcoming Boruto Two Blue Vortex Chapter 11 will follow this storyline and feature the Himawari vs Jura fight.
