One Baldur’s Gate 3 player discovered a fantastic “useless” magical item and fans just can’t seem to get enough of it.

With an adventure that’s over 100 hours long for many, it’s only natural to assume there are tons of things to do throughout the Baldur’s Gate 3 campaign. Thankfully, you’d be absolutely right, as there are plenty of quests, NPCs, locations, and items to discover, with each providing its own unique flair to an already expansive storyline.

However, not all elements provide a meaningful impact on the game, and some additions are leaving players baffled – even if they’re quickly falling in love with the “useless” magical item.

Baldur’s Gate 3 players can’t get enough of “useless” magical item

Sharing their discovery on the Baldur’s Gate 3 Reddit, one player revealed the Stool of Hill Giant Strength, which seems to be a magically infused chair.

“How the hell is that useful to me?” they added, clearly questioning what they could do with this weird magical item.

Thankfully, other players knew exactly what to do with it, with tons heading to the comments to tell the poster to simply “throw the stool” while another added “It’s useless! You should break it!”

One player suggested: “You can sit on it to temporarily gain its effects. Or break it.” Interestingly, breaking it is exactly what you’re supposed to do, as breaking the still will grant the player a stool leg, which can be used as a club. Then, whoever wields the club will have their strength increased to 19, making it an ideal weapon.

It seems the odd Stool of Hill Giant Strength is far from “useless” once you break it, and if you come across this magical item, it’s always worth either throwing it at an enemy or simply breaking it for the extra weapon.
