How to unlock Warzone’s RAAL MG – A simple guide

Nick Farrell

Warzone and Modern Warfare has a ton of weapons for players to try out, but there’s a new LMG on the block for players to try out. Here, we’re going to show you how to unlock Warzone’s RAAL MG.

Call of Duty has been getting a lot of attraction over recent weeks, with the full reveal of Call of Duty Vanguard now out in the open, there’s a lot to be excited about in the coming months.

But, Warzone and Modern Warfare is still among one of the best performing games in the last couple of years, and they’ve consistently added new weapons for players to check out.

We’re going to run over how to unlock the new RAAL LMG within CoD Warzone.

The new RAAL LMG looks to be another meta-changer within Warzone.

How to unlock the RAAL LMG in Warzone

Players eager to unlock this new weapon will not have too much trouble, as like any new weapon within Modern Warfare and Warzone, players will need to dive into multiplayer first.

The challenge players will need to complete is that they’ll have to “Get 5 kills in 7 different matches while using LMGs equipped with a Scout Optic.”

This isn’t too hard at first glance, as you’ll simply need to load into a match, get one kill, back out, and do it all over again. This may take some time, but it shouldn’t be too much of a hassle.

This new weapon joins the likes of recently released weapons such as the CX-9 who are among late joiners to the already stacked amount of guns within Modern Warfare and Warzone.

Best RAAL MG loadout for Warzone

The RAAL MG offers high damage, but a moderate fire rate. So it’s unknown how it will fair in regards to other LMGs.

Attachments

  • Muzzle: RAAL Monocore
  • Barrel: 32.0” RAAL Line Breaker
  • Laser: Tac Laser
  • Optic: VLK 3.0x Optic
  • Underbarrel: FFS Oblique

Being that the RAAL is a LMG, it’s accompanied with the typical drawbacks of this weapon class. The ADS speed and reload speed of this weapon will innately be slower compared to sub machine guns and assault rifles. This is where the Tac Laser becomes extremely helpful. This attachment will provide a slight improvement to the RAAL’s ADS speed which will can be vital in the heat of combat.

The Monocore Muzzle will act as a Monolithic Suppressor and according to YouTuber JGOD, “that’s gonna give you range and bullet velocity.”

The 32.0” RAAL Line Breaker Barrel and the FFS Oblique Underbarrel will serve to further increase ADS speed, which is always useful for LMGs, as well as increase bullet velocity.

Last but not least is an optic of your choosing. The VLK 3.0x Optic is a solid pick for all-ranges but the choice here is ultimately down to your preference.

The best way to help counter this sluggishness is through a Tac Laser. While it won’t completely overhaul the LMG, it provides that slight improvement to ADS speed which can be vital in the heat of combat.

Best RAAL MG setup (Perks & equipment)

Warzone gameplay
LMGs are hard hitting, high damage weapons that are capable of downing opponents in the blink of an eye
  • Perk 1: EOD
  • Perk 2: Overkill
  • Perk 3: Amped
  • Secondary: MAC-10
  • Lethal: Semtex
  • Tactical: Heartbeat Sensor

The use of the perks EOD and Amped help in protecting you from explosives as well as allowing you to swap to your secondary weapon faster. Overkill is especially important as it allows you to have a primary weapon as your secondary. In this case, the Mac-10 SMG increases your close-range effectiveness by allowing you to be faster and more efficient – an area where the RAAL MG does not shine.

With Call of Duty Vanguard releasing in just a few short months, we’ll have to wait and see how popular this new LMG is among players/streamers.

So there you have it, the RAAL MG is a solid choice of LMG in the current Warzone meta. It may not be the most popular weapon out there, but if you’re looking to try something new then look no further. With that said, all it takes is a few attachments and perks to make this loadout not  only fun to use, but effective in game.
