MW3 devs use wrong optic in weekly challenge description

MW3 players are noticing that devs have put the wrong optic in the description of how to complete a weekly challenge.

Part of MW3’s gunsmith is unlocking different attachments through completing various challenges every week.

This also includes Aftermarket parts, which can be unlocked to change the way a gun operates in significant ways.

However, one of this week’s Aftermarket Parts has been revealed to be giving the wrong information on how to unlock it.

A different optic needed to complete MW3 challenge

A post was made on the MW3 subreddit to share this finding: “PSA: You need to use the KR INTLAS LSJ-3 Optic. Not the AOK 4.0x RQ-9 optic.”

They explain that in order to complete the challenges this week, players will need to use a different sight than what is told in the game.

The responses to the post have been both appreciative of the original poster, and rather critical of the developers.

The praise is evident in comments like: “Thanks, I knew something was up when everything involved some random upgrade thingy we recently unlocked.”

But the MW3 criticisms are coming even more strongly:

“These developers are so out to lunch. I’ve already maxed it out with 0/30 still showing.”

The disbelief at how something as simple as this is evident throughout the entire thread, with one player giving a harsh comment: “I dunno how people who would probably fail 3rd grade reading class are getting to work on AAA games.”

It’s not a total surprise to see this mistake, as MW3’s newest update for Season 1 Reloaded has brought more than a few issues.
