A Warzone player and first-time dad hosted an in-game gender reveal, and the Call of Duty community is loving the “wholesome” content.

Like any number of other online fandoms, the Call of Duty: Warzone community unfortunately plays host to lots of toxicity.

Every so often, though, Warzone players manage to even surprise each other. Just recently, one user recognized that another may have been less experienced and let them escape mid-battle.

Some more truly heartfelt content started making the rounds on Warzone’s subreddit over the weekend, too. Interestingly enough, it involves one person’s clever gender reveal.

Warzone community applauds first-time father’s gender reveal

One Reddit user recently learned the gender of the child their family’s expecting. Naturally, their Call of Duty friends were also interested in the news, but wanted to take part in a gender reveal of sorts. Said reveal was conducted in-game on Warzone’s Urzikstan map.

The father-to-be gathered his friends on a rooftop and dropped two rifles at their feet – one blue, the other colored pink. As his buddies stood aside, their characters jumping up and down with excitement, the player grabbed a smoke grenade and let it go off.

As the smoke spread, the first-time dad picked up the pink rifle and started firing. There’s a baby girl in his future, and his Warzone squad couldn’t be happier for him. Check out the Warzone gender reveal below:

The original poster wrote, “[my] friends wanted me to do a gender reveal on WZ. Might as well share the good news with y’all as well!”

Needless to say, the Warzone subreddit is all too pleased to congratulate their fellow community member. Several comments called the gender reveal creative and “wholesome.”

One reply reads, “This is super wholesome bro! Congrats! The Warzone community can be toxic af, but stuff like this is always great see.”

Someone else called the clip the “best post in this subreddit in ages.”

Another person commented on the friend group’s reaction, writing, “The whole gang jumping with excitement is just too good!”

Clearly, toxicity isn’t all that defines the spirit of the Warzone community.
