Daniel ‘KEEMSTAR’ Keem has revealed that this week’s Fortnite Friday will feature a first round matchup between massively popular YouTubers Roman Atwood and Logan Paul.

If unfamiliar, the tournament invites numerous big names from the world of gaming, streaming and YouTube to compete in a weekly competition on popular battle royale game Fortnite.

Roman Atwood, who made his name for prank videos and vlogs on YouTube, is not exactly known for his gaming prowess, but then neither is Logan Paul.

This will be Roman Atwood’s first appearance in the Fortnite Friday event (his teammate has not yet been named), while Logan Paul has competed in both the opening weeks – though with limited success.

And, thanks to organizer KEEMSTAR, it has been arranged that the pair will face off in the opening round of the upcoming tournament on May 25th.

This matchup should make for an entertaining first round, as Logan Paul hopes to have a better outing than his previous two showings, where he was eliminated in his opening matches.

Fans should also expect Roman Atwood to come out strong as he may well be looking to make a name for himself in his first appearance, and would hate to lose to Logan.

Roman Atwood’s participation in Fortnite Friday is also another indication of KEEMSTAR’s ability to bring together content creators with massive audiences, not necessarily related to Fortnite or gaming.

The attention Fortnite Friday has brought to the game and the content creators involved in the tournament has been spectacular so far and should continue to grow.

The KEEMSTAR tournament is effectively one of the first true competitive Fortnite events, and has allowed fans to discover to new players and content that may not have been previously familiar with.

Roman Atwood could also stand to gain substantial exposure from Fortnite fans specifically after participating in this week’s event.

It is worth noting that the Friday Fortnite prize has doubled from last week and will now be $20,000, up from $10K last week, and $5K the week before.

Fans will have to tune in Friday May 25th to see if Roman Atwood can make a run in the tournament, or if Logan Paul will finally make it out of the first round.
