Wembley Stadium will play host to next month's Carabao Cup final

The Carabao Cup final is now set with just two teams still vying to win the first domestic trophy in English football in the 2023/24 season.

Chelsea were the first team to win through to the final after they recovered from a 1-0 defeat at Middlesbrough in the first leg, with a resounding 6-1 win at Stamford Bridge in the return leg.

And Mauricio Pochettino’s side will now face Liverpool who backed up their 2-1 win over Fulham in the first leg at Anfield, with a 1-1 draw at Craven Cottage to make it through to the final.

There will be a new champion this season as reigning champions Manchester United were dumped out in the fourth round by last season’s beaten finalists Newcastle.

Liverpool have won the competition a record nine times, while Chelsea have been crowned champions on five occasions. Here is all you need to know about the 2023/2024 Carabao Cup final.
