All Fortnite bosses in Chapter 5 Season 3 & how to defeat them

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 brings three Wastelander bosses to the island that pose a challenge to players attempting to eliminate them. If you’re wondering where to find or defeat these bosses, here’s a guide to help you do that easily.

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 brings a Wrecked Nitro-fueled crew to the island as three new POIs, new mythics, and weapons take center stage in the battle between Loopers and Wasteland Warriors.

These Wastelanders have taken over several POIs around the Fortnite map and are withholding some mighty powerful abilities, vehicles, and mythic weapons in the game. To get hold of those overpowered weapons and vehicles, you must defeat these four bosses and claim their Spoils of War, which are also known as medallions.

The three new bosses are The Machinist, Megalo Don, and Ringmaster Scarr. If you haven’t yet located and defeated all the bosses on the Chapter 5 Season 3 map, here’s a comprehensive guide to assist you.

All Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 bosses locations

The bosses in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 can be found at Nitrodrome, Brutal Beachhead, and Redline Rig. However, two of these bosses, which are Megalo Don and The Machinist are randomly on the move between matches across the entire island on their convoy.

Nevertheless, here’s a closer look at all the locations marked with the icon of the boss you’ll find at each of the three POIs most times:

How to defeat The Machinist boss in Fortnite

The Machinist is a neutral boss in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3, which means she will not attack the player on sight unless she or a Wasteland Guard are attacked, or a player blocks her path for too long.

Nevertheless, if you’d like to eliminate her and enjoy the Spoils of War medallion, land at Redline Rig POI at a yellow watchtower. Grab a weapon and use the Wire Rail to grind down to the pipes. Once down, enter the main atrium of the factory.

There you’ll find the boss roaming and will not fire unless you return fire at her. Start shooting and dodge shots, while eliminating any guards or players on the way.

Once her shield breaks, she will throw down a turret, so destroy that first or dodge shots to stay alive. As soon as you manage to eliminate The Machinist, she’ll drop a Medallion (which grants you infinite shield regeneration throughout the match), Mythic Combat AR, Nitro Splash, Gold Bars, and Flowberry Fizz.

Now that you have your medallion, equip it in your inventory and follow the arrow to the caged Lockjaw vehicle. The car is located at the very bottom of the factory so you’ll be able to easily locate it.

The Machinist’s Lockjaw consists of a Spiked Bumper, Machine Gun Turret, Bulletproof Wheels, and Infinite Nitro. Stand close to the cage while the scanner scans the medallion on you. As soon as it’s opened, claim your ride and rule the Wasteland in style.

Alternatively, you can also defeat The Machinist while she’s on the move with a War Bus convoy across the island. In matches where she does not spawn at Redline Rig, likely she’s moving across the island. Land near her convoy, grab a weapon, and hijack the War Bus’ Grenade Turret.

Then keep firing the turret at her Lockjaw till she and the guards from the bus exit the vehicles. Once they start firing at you, eliminate them or get into the Lockjaw and use the turret to make easy work of them.

As soon as you eliminate all of them, grab her medallion and mythic loot and drive off with your Lockjaw.

How to defeat Megalo Don boss in Fortnite

Megalo Don is a hostile boss in Chapter 5 Season 3 who starts attacking a player as soon as he spots them near him. He can be found at his massive ship over at Brutal Beachhead POI and usually roams around near the main atrium near a parked SUV.

If you want to defeat the boss, land at the very top of the Brutal Beachhead ship where Megalo Don’s control deck is situated. Loot some weapons and make your way to the very bottom of the ship. Near a parked SUV, you’ll spot Megalo Don as he gets hostile as soon as he spots you.

Keep firing at him and dodge his Nitro Fists punches so you don’t get thrown up in the air. Once you break his shield, he will infuse himself with infinite Nitro where he’ll be more aggressive than before.

He’ll close in to get some Nitro Fists shots in to damage you and will charge at you. Maintain your distance and eliminate him using an SMG and Assault Rifle. As soon as he’s eliminated, he’ll drop his Medallion (which infuses you with infinite Nitro throughout the match), Flowberry Fizz, Nitro Splashes, Gold Bars, Mythic Combat Shotgun, and Mythic Nitro Fists.

Once you have the medallion, exit towards the eastern side of the ship where you’ll spot a garage building with a caged Behemoth SUV. Walk closer to the cage and scan yourself using your medallion to unlock the car and ride it.

The Behemoth SUV comes with a Grenade Launcher Turret on top, a Spiked Bumper, Bulletproof Tires, and unlimited Nitro that can easily seat an entire squad.

Similar to The Machinist, you can also find Megalo Don roaming the island in certain matches, when he’s not at Brutal Beachhead, with his War Bus convoy. Hijack a War Bus and fire Grenade Launcher shots at his SUV to get him out of the vehicle.

Once he’s out, eliminate him with the same Grenade shots or attack him using your weapons since he can topple vehicles and break them with his Mythic Nitro Fists. As soon as he’s eliminated, grab his medallion, and mythic loot, and drive away with his Behemoth SUV.

How to defeat Ringmaster Scarr boss in Fortnite

Ringmaster Scarr is a neutral boss in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 and similar to The Machinist, won’t attack you unless you’ve eliminated a Wasteland Guard or start firing at her. However, encountering Ringmaster Scarr is very different from the other two bosses on the island.

To defeat her, you need to go through two phases and complete them.

Phase 1: Survive the Nitrodrome

This phase begins as soon as you land in Nitrodrome. So, land on the rooftops of the Nitrodrome area and grab some loot to defend yourself. Once you’ve landed, a two-minute timer will appear on top of the Nitrodrome screen.

The timer can be decreased by 5 seconds when driving in a vehicle through the rings, and 20 seconds for each opponent eliminated. As soon as you’ve survived the two-minute mark in Nitrodrome, the timer will drop free loot including weapons and gold bars for you, right before Ringmaster Scarr appears in the announcer’s area on top. That’s where the second phase begins.

Phase 2: Defeat Ringmaster Scarr

Once Ringmaster Scarr has appeared on the platform that overlooks the Nitrodrome, attack her and keep distance from her while dodging her Boom Bolt shots. Furthermore, when you break her shield, she’ll infuse herself with infinite Nitro and throw Dynamite towards you.

Dodge her incoming fire and eliminate any guards or enemies in the way. As soon as you’ve done that, she’ll drop her Medallion (which gives you infinite ammo for each weapon in your inventory), Nitro Splashes, Gold Bars, Flowberry Fizz, and Mythic Boom Bolt.

Then grab her medallion and head to the very bottom of the Nitrodrome to find the caged Lockjaw vehicle. Ringmaster Scarr’s car is similar to The Machinist’s vehicle as they both have the same vehicle mods installed.

Ringmaster Scarr is the only boss who always spawns at a fixed POI unlike the other two who are constantly on the move.
