New characters can be unlocked by exchanging Crewmate Cards.

You can unlock new characters in the game by exchanging Crewmate Cards.

The ability to add new characters to your party becomes available at the beginning of Chapter 4 of Granblue Fantasy: Relink once Siero gives you your first Crewmate Card. To exchange the card, simply follow the steps below:

  1. Head to the Knickknack Shack in Folca and speak to Siero
  2. Click on the Crewmate Card option in the store menu
  3. Select the character you want to recruit
  4. A short cutscene will play and that character will now be available to use!

You’ll have the option to practice with the character to get used to their combat skills as soon as they’re unlocked, and then you can start taking on quests and main story missions with them.

A Crewmate Card can only be used once so you’ll have to obtain more as you progress through the game to get more fighters. Cards are gained as rewards for completing specific quests in Granblue Fantasy: Relink so make sure to take on as many quests as you can.
