League of Legends MSI 2024 all teams qualified

MSI 2024 is nearly upon us, and teams are starting to qualify from each region as the Playoffs wind down. Here are all the teams that have qualified so far, as well as what teams from other regions still need to do to in order to make it to the event.

From Team Liquid’s massive upset at the LCS Finals to Gen.G’s complete dominance in South Korea, the ways teams have qualified for MSI this year have all looked a bit different.

However, MSI has much less slots open than Worlds does, and the process of which teams will get chosen to represent their respective regions in Chengdu, China is a bit different from MSI last year in some regions.

Here’s a list of all the teams qualified for MSI:

LCS (North America)

  • FlyQuest (Second Seed)
  • Team Liquid (First Seed)

LEC (EMEA)

  • G2 Esports (First Seed)
  • Fnatic (Second Seed)

LPL (China)

  • BLG (First Seed)
  • Top Esports (Second Seed)

LCK (South Korea)

  • Gen.G (First Seed)
  • T1 (Second Seed)

PCS (Asia Pacific)

It’s worth noting the PCS has changed a bit, with Japan getting lumped in with the PCS for Playoffs. That means there will be no direct representative from the LJL like prior years, and only one team will make it between both regions.

SoftBank Hawks made a miracle run to the Grand Finals with Evi back in the region, but PSG Talon ultimately came out on top. This is the first time Japan hasn’t been represented at an international event in several years.

  • PSG Talon

VCS (Vietnam)

Vietnam’s qualification was up in the air due to a massive investigation into a “breach of competitive integrity” that has halted the entire league. They’re still planning to move forward with the Playoffs and send a team to MSI, but the problem was deep-rooted enough that there’s a chance not every team was able to field a full roster. SofM’s team, Vikings Esports, had to put out an application form on Facebook to try and recruit players.

However, GAM Esports pulled a team together that was able to win the Playoffs. As for how well they’ll do at MSI, it’s hard to say.

CBLOL (Brazil)

  • LOUD

LLA (Latin America)

  • Estral Esports

How does MSI seeding work?

The first seed regions from the four major regions (LCK, LPL, LCS, LEC) will move directly into the Bracket Stage and right past Play-Ins. Meanwhile, the second seeded teams from the main regions will clash with the other four minor regions in Play-Ins.
