The future Paradox Pokemon Iron Jugulis will be part of Scarlet & Violet’s recently announced 5-Star Tera Raid battles. Here’s everything you need to know about this double Dark/Flying-type beast’s counters, to easily defeat and catch it in the game.

The first Scarlet & Violet Tera Raid battle event of the year featured Blaziken in 7-Stars encounters. This time, Game Freak is using the Tera Raid rotations to bring to the game two Pokemon simultaneously: Flutter Mane and Iron Jugulis.

However, both will be part of the 5-Stars Tera Raid battles instead, and they’ll appear according to their versions of the game, as they are exclusive Paradox Pokemon.

The appearance of this Pokemon in this special Tera Raid battles means that every Iron Jugulis a player catches will have at least 4 perfect IVs out of the 6 available. So this is the ideal opportunity for those who are keen on collecting perfect stats ‘mons.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Iron Jugulis Tera Raid schedule

Both Paradox Pokemon -Flutter Mane and Iron Jugulis- will be available in the Scarlet & Violet Tera Raid battles from Friday, January 26, 2024, at 00:00 UTC, until Sunday, January 28, 2024, at 23:59 UTC.

This not only gives players the chance to complete their Pokedex with the other version-exclusive ‘mon but also allows them to add a Paradox Pokemon with perfect IV to their rosters. If they manage to catch one, of course.

Iron Jugulis moveset and type

This mechanical beast is a dual Dark/Flying-type Pokemon, which means you can take advantage of its weaknesses against Rock, Electric, Ice, and Fairy-type moves, given that it receives double damage from them.

On the other hand, it’s immune to Psychic and Ground moves while also being especially resistant to Ghost, Grass, and Dark-type attacks, so be aware of your party’s strengths and vulnerabilities during the encounter.

However, keep in mind that, during these special 5-Star Tera Raid battles, Iron Jugulis will have random Tera types. Prepare for several different possibilities and look out for this impressive beast’s solid defense, speed stats, and very high Special Attack.

Can Iron Jugulis be Shiny?

In keeping with previous Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Tera Raid events, we cannot confirm that Iron Jugulis will be available in its Shiny form during these encounters.

We will update this guide if there’s any Shiny Iron Jugulis confirmation.

Can players catch Iron Jugulis in Pokemon Scarlet?

Given that Flutter Mane is an Ancient Paradox Pokemon, it will be exclusive for Scarlet players, while Iron Jugulis, a Future specimen, will be exclusive for Violet players.

But worry not, as you’ll be able to access both of them despite your game version thanks to the Online Battles.
