To celebrate Pokemon Horizons: The Series, Pokemon Go has released a brand new Timed Research task, granting players the chance to catch Captain Pikachu. Here’s how to unlock the Captain Pikachu Timed Research in Pokemon Go.

Pokemon Go is filled with exciting events to enjoy, research tasks to complete, and handy codes to grant you extra loot. Sometimes, those three come together to create a free Timed Research adventure for all players and an adorable new Pokemon to add to your ever-expanding Pokedex, so long as they have the code.

So, to help you catch ’em all in Pokemon Go, here’s how to get the Captain Pikachu Timed Research in Pokemon Go as well as that all-important code.

How to get Captain Pikachu Timed Research code in Pokemon Go

Thankfully, getting your hands on the Captain Pikachu Timed Research in Pokemon Go is simple, all you need to do is type in the code: CAPTAINPIKACHU in the Pokemon Go online store.

Once you’ve signed in and redeemed the code, you’ll be given three different research tasks:

Explore 3km: 30 Poke Balls
Catch 20 Pokemon: 5 Razz Berries
Spin 10 Pokestops or Gyms: 3 Revives

When you’ve completed all those challenges, you’ll get 2,500 Stardust, 5,000 XP, and the chance to catch Pikachu wearing Cap’s Hat from Pokemon Horizons.

However, you only have until March 13 at 11:59 pm local time to grab the code and complete the research, so it’s best to get to catching as soon as possible.
