Hisuian forms have been popping up in Pokemon Go for a while now, and after both Hisuian variations of Samurott and Typhlosion made their way into the game, it’s finally Decidueye’s turn. So, to help you defeat this 3-Star Raid Boss, we’ve compiled a list of the best counters to exploit its weaknesses.

Regional Hisuian forms have been part of Pokemon Go since 2022, right around when Pokemon Legends Arceus came out. The first ones to appear in the game were Voltorb, Growlithe, Qwilfish, and Sneasel. Since then, some others have made their way, and Niantic will keep them coming.

The latest addition is Hisuian Decidueye, which, unlike its original dual Grass/Ghost-type, is now a Grass/Fighting-type Pokemon. This means its weaknesses are different from the ones we are used to, so you’ll need to take into combat a different set of ‘mons to defeat it.

On Sunday, February 11, 2024 from 2 pm until 5 pm local time, players will be able to fight this Pokemon in 3-Star Raid battles during the Hisuian Decidueye Raid Day, and here’s everything you need to know to take it down easily and secure your catch in the game.

Hisuian Decidueye weaknesses in Pokemon Go

Hisuian Decidueye is a dual Grass/Fighting-type Pokemon, which means it’s weak against Flying, Fire, Ice, Poison, Psychic, and Fairy-type attacks. Because of its extra weakness to Flying moves, we recommend you mainly use those during combat.

On the other hand, because of Hisuian Decidueye’s resistance to them, avoid using Ground, Water, Grass, Electric, Rock, and Dark-type moves, as they won’t deal much damage.

Here are some of the best counters you can use during the battle:

Even though the Pokemon listed are very effective against Hisuian Decidueye, they still need to be leveled up and know the proper moves if you want to win the battle.

In case you don’t have Mega Evolutions, you can go with the Legendaries from above or even the regular Pokemon. The main idea is to go with a strong creature that targets Hisuian Decidueye’s weaknesses.

How to get Hisuian Decidueye in Pokemon Go

For now, the only way to get yourself a Hisuian Decidueye in the game is to defeat it during a 3-Star Raid battle and then catch it with the Premier Balls you’re given. However, it’s not guaranteed you’ll secure one on your first try.

Luckily you’ll be able to fight this Pokemon many times during its Raid Day on Sunday, February 11, 2024 from 2 pm until 5 pm local time.

Can Hisuian Decidueye be Shiny in Pokemon Go?

Yes, Shiny Hisuian Decidueye is available in the game and you might find one during its special Raid Day.

It’s worth noting that there’s no real method to increasing your odds, so you’ll need to take part in as many 3-Star Raid Battles as you can until you find a Shiny variation of Hisuian Decidueye.
