Players in the Pokemon Go community have been left furious over the newly introduced Dazzling Dream Hatch Challenge from the Fairy-type event, as trains claim the rewards are not worth it.

Pokemon Go launched their Dazzling Dream event on January 13, as trainers have been surging to complete the various tasks and get the rewards.

The “sparkling” event focuses around the Fairy-type Pokemon, which sees Cutiefly make her Shiny Debut. It includes all the typical event features, such as bonuses, an avatar item, increased Fairy spawn rates in the wild and a heap of Field Research & Collection Challenges.

However, players have soon been left outraged over the Dazzling Dream Hatch Challenge for various recurring issues found in similar challenges, as well as the particular tasks given the time of year.

Pokemon Go players avoid Dazzling Dream Hatch Challenge

Pokemon Go player Ok Needleworker1761 shared a screenshot of the in-game Dazzling Dream Hatch Challenge, and slammed it for being a “stupid” challenge.

“I really hate those type of challenges. First of all you are forced to purchase egg incubators. Second, they only hatch from 7km eggs.

Despite them stating they “luckily” have a job that requires “a lot of walking,” in regards to hatching the 7km eggs, they stated the issue is that you can “only get those eggs from friends.” Further explaining that even with a high number of friends, not all of them give gifts and if they do its not always eggs.

They ended by saying: “But the thing that annoys me the most is the random Pokémon. I have a tons of Togepi coming out of the eggs. Just one Spritzee and none of the other two. Couldn’t they make it that you first collect the ones you need and then make it a randomizer.”

One player revealed: “I just learned these are in 7K eggs I am screwed,” as a fellow trainer responded: “Just skip it, the rewards aren’t worth the walking you’ve gotta do.”

Many highlighted the timing of the event has made it even more of an issue: “I would normally disagree but… it’s literally freezing outside here, and I have a friend in Australia complaining about heat. This would be best during spring/fall so people in both hemispheres could stand a chance to walk more.”

Pokemon Go players have instead turned to hatching eggs by simply wandering around their homes and avoiding the Dazzling Dream Hatch Challenge altogether.
