Bakers are returning to the tent in another season of Channel 4’s The Great British Bake Off. Here are the contestants who’ve been eliminated so far.

Cooking competitions are an everyday favorite among viewers, and The Great British Bake Off might just be the most relaxing out of the bunch.

Judged by Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith, contestants must show off their baking skills throughout the Signature, Technical, and Showstopper challenges. Sometimes, recipes don’t go as planned, with dishes falling apart or turning out practically inedible.

The Great British Bake Off’s fourteenth season is underway, and the competition has been fierce. Here are the bakers who have had to leave the show.

Who has been kicked off The Great British Bake Off 2023?

Here are The Great British Bake Off contestants who have left the tent so far:

Week 1 – Amos

At the end of the first week, Dan was named Star Baker, and Amos was the first contestant to be sent home. The judges previously criticized his “bone dry” cake in the Showstopper challenge.

“What I have learned from my experience on Bake Off is that I can always bring anything together under pressure and that I’m now a part of an exclusive club,” Amos said. “I will definitely keep on baking, and hope to maybe open up my own bakery and feed the world with love and cake – and who knows where it will take me.”

Week 2 – Keith

Keith on The Great British Bake Off

Keith struggled with making tea cakes in addition to the Showstopper and Technical challenges. This led to him being eliminated during the second week, with Tasha earning Star Baker.

“It’s alright, I feel fine, there is nothing sad about this moment. I have had the most fantastic time,” Keith said. “There were bruises up my arm from the first week as I was pinching myself every half-hour. I don’t know how many hours I will spend the rest of my life banging on about this.”

Week 3 – Abbi

Abi on The Great British Bake Off

Abbi left the tent during the third episode, which was also Paul Hollywood’s favorite, Bread Week. Abbi’s Cottage loaf, nicknamed “flat Janice,” failed to impress the judges, and she later came in at the bottom for the Technical and Showstopper challenges.

“I never thought I would be able to do this, it has given me such a massive confidence boost and I have met such amazing people,” Abbi said. “I am going to remember it every day for the rest of my life, honestly! Although I am quite looking forward to getting back to my vegetables.”

Week 4 – No one

Week four was chocolate week, which left the contestants stressed about tempering chocolate right. Despite the stress and some disastrous baking, host Allison Hammond revealed at the end that no one would be leaving that week. Instead, there would be a double elimination the following week.

Week 5 – Nicky and Rowan

This week’s episode saw two people leave the baking competition, where contestants were challenged to put their pastry skills to the test.

Nicky, 52, said: “I knew my time had come to an end after such a disastrous few days, but even still, my heart sank and I had to hold back the tears.”

“I had such a wonderfully happy time during my time in the tent. “What made it slightly easier when leaving was I didn’t leave alone, and my lovely bakers gave me the biggest hugs, which meant more than anything to me.”

“I got to halfway through, and that’s good enough for me, without a doubt,” she continued. “I have had so many people stop me and recognize me. I even got recognized in France where I have just been for a few days.”

Rowan, 21, said leaving with Nicky “made it so much easier” for him to say farewell.

The student said: “We were great friends in the tent, and we are really looking forward to doing An Extra Slice together, it will be lovely to see her again.

“After being on the series I’ve learned to be more confident in myself and my talents, and that you will find friends wherever you go.”

Week 6 – Dana

Great British Bake Off's Dana

Dana was the sixth person to leave the tent. “I knew it was me that was going to go home. I could sense it, so I hyped myself up for it,” she said. “Obvs it would have been great to go further, but I am happy with how far I did come as I got over halfway through – which isn’t a bad place to be!” she said following her exit.”

Week 7 – Saku

Saku on The Great British Bake Off

Saku was sent home during dessert week for her stodgy creme caramels and cracked meringue bomb Showstopper. “It’s not much of a bomb though. It’s just a few choux buns sitting in the middle of a stand,” Hollywood said about the bee-themed dessert.

“I’m so proud of myself. I won’t miss baking. I will miss them. I’m really sad to leave them. It’s a privilege to be part of this lovely family,” Saku remarked after her elimination.

Week 8 – Cristy

Cristy was the eight person to leave GBBO

Cristy was the eighth person to leave the show after being eliminated during the semifinals, which happened to be party week.

Speaking of the show, Cristy added: “It has been such a crazy, fast-paced experience. So I can now sit back and reflect on what an amazing time I have had. I am really proud to have got this far. I am really proud.”

Week 9 – Tasha

Tasha on The Great British Bake Off

After previously being named Star Baker twice, Tasha was eliminated during Patisserie Week, sending three bakers to the finals. The three bakers who made it through were Josh, Dan, and Matty.

“It is OK. It’s so emotional to say goodbye to everyone; that’s when it really hits. They are amazing people. They really are friends for life,” Tasha explained about the experience.
