Does Star Wars Jedi: Survivor have ridable mounts?

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor indeed has several ridable mounts in the game for Cal to utilize. They severely quicken the pace at which players can travel and make exploring more fun.

One of the biggest complaints directed at Fallen Order was that traversal was a bit difficult at times and it was time-consuming to revisit previous locations. To amend some of these issues, the newest entry introduces the ability to ride certain creatures in the game, especially to cope with Koboh’s open-world elements.

How to tame mounts in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

To tame a mount in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, you simply need to approach one of the game’s eligible creatures and press the prompted button once near. Cal learns the ability to tame mounts through Cere Junda, which players will learn after completing a few of the game’s main story missions.

Once you’ve tamed a new type of creature for the first time, you won’t need to do so again.

Once a type of creature has been tamed, you will simply just need to get near it, and press the appropriate button on your format to ride it. Cal will hop on and you’ll then be able to ride it around in the permissible areas of the map.

How to call a mount in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

To call a mount, you must press L1 on PlayStation or LB on Xbox, or the compatible keybind on PC. An available mount in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor does have to be nearby for this to work though, so bear that in mind. You can also leave mounts at the Koboh stable just to ensure you have a mount readily available.

Every mount in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

There are three different types of mounts in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor: Nekkos, Relters, and Spamels.

Relter

Now, of these three, we should point out that the Relters don’t quite behave in the same way as Nekkos or Spamels. Relters are flying creatures that are only available in pre-determined spots around Koboh. Once you get near one it will hoist itself into the air for you to jump on. You will get limited airtime out of one with the intention to land in a designated area nearby.

Nekko

Your first proper mount in the game will be the Nekko. A two-legged creature with good speed and capable of getting you up to higher places thanks to its ability to jump. You can use a Blaster on the back of one and engage in heated combat on Koboh.

Spamel

Only found on Jedha, Spamel’s are very tall creatures – sharing a lot in common with giraffes – and have similar functions to the Nekko. They can move quickly, they can’t jump, but their height more than makes up for this, and the Spamel launches its own devastating attacks.
