No, Michael B. Jordan isn’t playing Hercules in a Disney remake. The news comes from a fake poster created by Facebook page Movie Maestro, stating the movie is getting a live-action adaptation this year.

The caption for the fake poster reads: “Disney Has Cast #BlackPanther and #Creed star Michael B. Jordan for the role of #Hercules in the upcoming live-action film.”

However, Michael B. Jordan hasn’t been attached to any related project, nor has an adaptation of the film been announced for any point this year. That being said, it was revealed back in 2020 that Hercules would be one of the next Disney movies in line to get the live-action treatment – though no further details have ever been revealed.

According to Daniel Richtman [via The DisInsider], the latest update from the film doesn’t involve who will be in it, but rather who is leaving. Director Guy Ritchie, originally thought to be attached to the movie, has now exited the Hercules remake, with reports citing he is “too busy” to be onboard.

“I’d watch him play in any role,” one Facebook user comments, while another adds, “Can’t wait! Love the character. Love the mythology! Yayyyyyy!!!”

“I can’t wait I love his personality and acting skills along with he is amazing and smooth,” replied a third user.

While Michael B. Jordan being attached to the Hercules remake is only fan rumor at this point, the news hasn’t gone down so well over on Reddit.

“I don’t see Michael B Jordan as Herc,” one user mused. “He’s just not the right build. You’d need to be more like a young Rock or Schwartzennegar kind of a build. Jordan isn’t scrawny by any means, but he’s not built like a brick sh**house either. Maybe the dude who plays Reacher or the like.”
