One Baldur’s Gate 3 player has discovered an extremely rare Greatsword in Act One that many fans may have missed in their playthroughs.

With there being so much to do in Baldur’s Gate 3, it can be pretty easy to miss quests, items, and powerful weapons as you explore. Even in act one, just as you’re getting your bearings there are tons of missed opportunities many players don’t spot on their first or third playthrough.

One such missed item has just been revealed by a seasoned player, who shows off an “extremely rare Greatsword in act one” that many fans may have missed out on.

Sharing the discovery on Reddit, one user showed off this rare Greatsword, otherwise known as Svartlebee’s Woundseeker.

“Yet another extremely rare weapon that most people will never get on their first playthrough,” explained the poster, going on to say how it’s likely that players “would never expect the random NPC who uses it to even have a unique weapon.”

Thankfully, they explained how you can get hold of it, going on to say: “To get this weapon you need to head to Waukeen’s Rest on the Risen Road. Once there you will see some flaming fist breaking down a door to an inn. Take note of the guard named Gauntlet Yeva and prepare the Command Drop spell in your spell book.”

For this, you’ll need a Bard, Cleric, or Paladin in your party, so you can first learn the spell.

“After breaking down the door, go into turn-based mode and cast the spell” reveals the player, continuing by warning fans, “Remember DO NOT PICK UP THE WEAPON. After you have done this go and finish up the rest of the quest and take a long rest. Head back to the Inn and you’ll have one of the most rare weapons in the game.”

What makes this a powerful weapon is its abilities, which essentially applies Bless to the person wielding the weapon, and when combined with the suggested Great Weapon Master feat, will make the player pretty deadly.
