One Baldur’s Gate 3 player is warning other fans to avoid one unsuspecting enemy after their party was “traumatized” by the battle.

The main bosses of Baldur’s Gate 3 are pretty obvious, with the likes of Kethric, Orin, and Gortash cementing themselves soon into the game – and while they’re fun to take on and prepare for, some of the best boss battles are those you don’t expect.

In fact, some of the most enjoyable fights are the unpredictable ones, even if they can prove to be a little more powerful than many expect. This is exactly what one player came across, and they’re now warning the rest of the community to steer clear.

Baldur’s Gate 3 players “traumatized” by simple enemy

Sharing their warning on Reddit, one user revealed how “a frog traumatized me” after they chose to battle the animal near Ethel’s side of the region.

“I was chilling exploring and looting while I interacted with the frog trying to befriend her, next thing you know Lae Zel and Shadowheart get blasted for 37 damage and they had 20 and managed to kill my friend’s Tav” revealed the player, referring to the Addled Frog you come across near Ethe.

To make matters worse the player was on Honour Mode, thankfully they managed to take the frog down, but not without being “traumatized” by its unsuspecting power.

“That frog is f***ing terrifying” commented one user, who’s clearly had the same kind of traumatic experience. Another shared their battle with the frog, adding how they got around the fight the second time around: “That frog rocked my shit too. I made friends with it next run.”

They weren’t the only player that almost suffered the same fate as the player: “That f***er almost ruined my honor play through too.”

Thankfully, one user shared a key technique to get the most out of the evil animal: “If you back off when the narration suggests there is Something Wrong With It and then come back after defeating the hag, it will lead you to treasure and thank you adorably.”

If you’re going near Ethel, be sure to be careful around everything you speak to, you never know how powerful they might be.
