The community of Baldur’s Gate 3 is taken aback after one player shares a truly gruesome death for Shadowheart.

There are a lot of ways that characters and companions can die in Baldur’s Gate 3, and many of these can be a truly surprising event.

The times when an NPC meets their end as an unforeseen result of some other character’s action can be both shocking and hilarious.

Now add a fan-favorite character to that, and you have what has happened with Shadowheart in one player’s game, and the community is horrified.

Baldur’s Gate 3 fans shook over Shadowheart’s brutal death

The death can be seen on the Baldurs’ Gate 3 subreddit, where the player mentions: “When this happened, I was in shock.”

Their post goes into more detail, explaining how Shadowheart had died in an area that was being bombed by another NPC. When they went to ressurect Shadowheart after the fight, they found her remains – or at least part of them.

They show a photo showing a mass of flesh and organs instead of the body, and the game telling them that they can’t “reanimate inanimate objects.”

The community’s response is both surprised and humorous, as many can’t help but be impressed with just how gruesome the death is.

“This one’s Shadowheart, and Shadowliver, and Shadowlungs, and Shadowintestine…”

Fortunately, many believe that Shadowheart won’t have to remain a pile of her own intestines as one character can do what a Revivify Scroll cannot:

“Withers should work both lore-wise and in-game since he casts True Resurrection.”

One user is taking the moment to just enjoy everything that Baldur’s Gate 3 has to offer: “Amazing. Gods I feel everyday I see something new coming out of this game.”

The community is never left wanting for the most outrageous and incredible moments to talk about.
