A huge buff in Season 2 has elevated the TAQ Evolvere to one of the strongest weapons in MW3. Here is the best TAQ Evolvere loadout to dominate using this meta LMG.

The TAQ Evolvere had an unspectacular debut when it was first added to multiplayer in the Season 1 Reloaded update. Though solid it was not meta-defining by any means with it failing to stand out.

However, a surprise buff in the February 13 patch has seen the LMG become much more popular. It is now one of the strongest weapons in Modern Warfare 3 and well worth using.

Muzzle: JAK BFB
Optic: Mk.3 Reflector
Stock: Assault-60 Stock
Underbarrel: SL Skeletal Vertical Grip
Magazine: 100 Round 556 Belt

Following its rework the 100 Round 556 Belt magazine is now an unbelievably strong attachment. It provides improvements to ADS Speed, Sprint to Fire Speed, mobility, and a remarkable 71% boost to fire rate. This gives the TAQ Evolvere one of the best TTKs in MW3 at close to medium range.

A huge downside to the 5.56 conversion after its rework is that it does increase overall recoil fairly significantly. To fix this we recommend equipping the JAK BFB muzzle which provides the biggest improvement to recoil of any attachment in Modern Warfare 3.

It’s also worth using both the Assault-60 Stock and SL Skeletal Vertical Grip underbarrel to improve the TAQ Eradicator’s handling. With these attachments, the buffed LMG handles fast enough to compete at close range often outgunning even SMGs.

The final attachment slot isn’t essential but a close to medium-range optic like the Mk.3 Reflector makes it easier to track moving targets. Alternatively, those who like the TAQ Eradicator’s iron sights should consider using a laser of choice instead.

The Assassin Vest is a powerful choice with it providing the benefits of Ghost T/V Camo without having to use up a gear slot. However, keep in mind the JAK BFB prolongs how long you show up on the minimap after firing so be sure to only pull the trigger when a kill looks certain.

With it being an LMG, the TAQ Evolvere’s reload time leaves a lot to be desired especially given MW3’s fast-paced gameplay. To fix this problem both the Commando Gloves and Mag Holster gear should be used which not only speed up reloads but also let you reload while sprinting.

Covert Sneakers stand out as the strongest option in the Boots slot with them silencing footsteps. Alongside the Assassin Vest, this makes you stealthy and helps offset the main downside to using the otherwise excellent JAK BFB muzzle, being that it marks you on the minimap like an Advanced UAV is present when firing, compared to the standard red dot ping.

For equipment, a Semtex is an excellent lethal as it can be quickly thrown to pressure or take out enemies without having to waste shots. Finally, a Stim is a strong choice as it provides instant healing during difficult situations where you’d otherwise fall.

The TAQ Evolvere can be unlocked through the armory by activating the LMG, and then completing either 3 Daily Challenges or winning 3 matches. Alternatively, you can extract it in Zombies to instantly unlock it.

Although it’s a battle rifle and not an LMG, the BAS-B shares a lot in common with the TAQ Evolvere with both chambering high-caliber ammunition, having competitive TTKs, and excelling at medium to long range.
