The SOA Subverter is impacting the meta of both Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone. Here’s how to unlock the SOA Subverter in Warzone and MW3 and get your hands on this powerful weapon.

Added in the Season 2 Reloaded update, the SOA Subverter is a new battle rifle based on the real-world ARX-200. Though this is the first time this particular weapon has appeared in Call of Duty, the ARX-160, an older variant of the same gun, appeared in both Ghosts and Advanced Warfare.

This heavy-duty rifle features a slow fire rate but packs a mean punch. While certainly not a jack-of-all-trades primary the SOA Subverter is still one of the best weapons so you’ll want to unlock it as soon as possible.

To help you do just that we’ve put together this guide on how to get the SOA Subverter in the new update.

How to get SOA Subverter in MW3 & Warzone

To unlock the SOA Subverter, you simply need to activate the Armory Unlock and complete five Daily Challenges. With MW3’s shared ecosystem, challenges can be completed in multiplayer, Zombies, or Warzone.

When the weapon launched in Season 2 Reloaded, players had to complete five Weekly Challenges, making the unlock a bit harder. However, post-Season 2, completing five Daily Challenges will do the trick.

MW3 SOA Subverter

As for what you can expect from the SOA Subverter, the new battle rifle is a powerful weapon that chambers 7.62 and offers a devastating TTK as long as you don’t miss any shots. However, its low fire rate can make it less forgiving than some other weapons so it won’t be for everyone.

Though the SOA Subverter was the only new firearm introduced in Season 2 Reloaded, the mid-season update also saw the Soulrender added bringing with it a unique melee weapon that can rapidly slash down enemy players.
