UYU makes surprising roster change before Black Ops 4’s Pro League Play-in

Dakota ‘Nova’ Williams was dropped from UYU just two weeks before the Black Ops 4 Pro League Play-in qualifier event.

UYU has not yet announced a replacement, though current members Tristan ‘Spoof’ Green and Cesar ‘Skyz’ Bueno were spotted playing an S&D tournament with free agent Adian ‘GorgoKnight’ Provenzano.

Nova and UYU placed top 16 at CWL Las Vegas to grab a spot in the play-in event, which will determine the places for the year-long Black Ops 4 Pro League.

The roster move is the latest unfortunate turn for the career of Nova, who narrowly missed the WW2 Pro League with GGEA Orange after dropping a heartbreaking five set match to Tainted Minds.

UYU’s core was made from the remnants of GGEA Orange, with Nova, Spoof and Mayhem deciding to stick together for Black Ops 4.

The change may set off a mini Rostermania scramble just weeks before the play-in, with Nova being a possible upgrade for teams near the bottom of qualifying.

However, it is also possible the Nova has played his last competitive Call of Duty match, announcing on Twitter that he might retire if he can’t find a team for the event.
