Former UFC fighter and comedian Brendan Schaub got a concussion after flipping his souped-up Ram TRX truck attempting to do donuts.

Brendan Schaub is a well-known personality in both the entertainment space and the combat sports world, boasting experience in boxing and mixed martial arts.

After a solid career in the UFC, Schaub retired from MMA in 2015 and has since gone on to become a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

Over the last decade, Schaub has also played host to the podcast ‘The Fighter And The Kid,’ and documents his exploits online… one of which resulted in some minor injuries for the former fighter.

Brendan Schaub totals truck in failed donut attempt

On February 27, Schaub uploaded a video to his YouTube channel, ‘Tune Town,’ where he took his Ram TRX truck for a spin in Johnson Valley after getting it dolled up with new shocks.

In an attempt to show off his updated suspension, Schaub decided to put his ride to the test… but things didn’t turn out too well.

First, the comedian ended up getting stuck in a tall bed of silt sand in the valley, and needed help getting towed out — but that was far from the end of his bad luck.

After being set free from the silt, Schaub attempted to do a donut. However, he ended up flipping his TRX instead, subsequently totalling the vehicle he’d just poured a ton of time and money into.

In a clip from the video that’s going viral online, viewers can see Schaub’s head take a hit on the left side as the airbag deployed. Luckily, he was able to make it out of the truck in one piece, saying he only suffered a concussion and some bruising to his left arm.

He explained that he’d forgotten to turn off the truck’s traction control, causing it to flip — something he was quite mournful about, given it was his “favorite” vehicle he’d ever owned.

“Thank God I didn’t get seriously hurt,” he said. “I got a concussion, those suck. Definitely didn’t need another one. It could be a whole lot worse.”

Overall, Schaub claimed that he learned a valuable lesson that day; he’s not a professional driver, and he has a “lot to learn” when it comes to the pastime in order to enjoy it safely, especially since he has children.

Fans are happy to see that Schaub isn’t seriously injured, although some are clowning on him for his costly mistake.
