CS2 Feb 6 update brings huge Sticker placement tweak that changes everything

Counter-Strike 2’s February 6 patch notes introduced a massive Sticker placement update that could change everything.

Over the past few months, CS2 players had been patiently waiting for an update as Valve went silent, to the point many were worried the game would grow stale.

However, Valve casually dropped a massive update on February 6, breaking their silence by adding a slew of skins with a new weapon case, the new Kukri knife, Zeus skin, among many other cosmetics and bug fixes to boot.

Though undoubtedly the biggest addition to in the patch was the implementation of custom Sticker placements, a revamp that could change everything we know about sticker crafts.

With the new update, all weapons (except the knife) will no longer be restricted to just four stickers, now being able to fit up to five of them.

Even more jaw-dropping is that players will not be restricted to just a few preset positions, instead, now being allowed to place the sticker anywhere they like on the play side of the gun. In addition, you can rotate it however you feel like.

However, this massive update to stickers could very well change up a great deal around the game, particularly in the CS skin economy, as valuable sticker crafts are some of the title’s most expensive items. Take for example the infamous AK-47 Case Hardened pattern 661 with four Titan holos on it, which sold for nearly $450,000.

Time will tell how this sticker update will affect CS’ skin economy, as the massive shake-up leaves many existing sticker crafts outdated as crafts from now on can be much more innovative.

The skin economy boomed when CS2 was announced in March, and further increased after the official release in August, however, took quite a drastic downturn over the past few months.
