A rare shader that was only available through the $10 Event Card upgrade in Festival of the Lost 2022 has finally made its way to the Bright Dust store.

The most popular cosmetic items in Destiny 2 are shaders. When applied shaders let players change the color of either their armor or weapons to give them a completely different feel.

While many shaders are earned in-game it’s becoming increasingly common for more and more to be locked behind pay walls. However, Bungie has been making an effort to move some premium shaders to the Bright Dust store as it did with Ego Malign.

Now another premium shader can be purchased with Bright Dust and players looking to collect as many as possible won’t want to miss out.

Destiny 2 shader locked behind microtransactions can now be purchased with Bright Dust

Destiny 2 players can now purchase the Angel’s Gleam shader for 300 Bright Dust from this week’s featured section of the Bright Dust store.

It will stay in the Bright Dust Store from October 24, 2023, to October 31, 2023, when the next weekly reset takes place.

This marks the first time the premium shader has been earnable through in-game methods having previously been locked behind a $10 Event Card upgrade in Festival of the Lost 2022.

The Angel’s Gleam shader uses a unique coloration that can be difficult to match with most armor.

The shader itself is quite unusual featuring a mix of yellow and light blue with elements of white and dark red mixed in. Although it’s difficult to match with the majority of armor and weapons there’s certain to be a combination where this shader works.

As with most MTX shaders, Angel’s Gleam is extremely rare with only 4.3% of Guardians owning it as of October 25, 2023.

Although we can’t say for sure this is likely to be the only time Angel’s Gleam is available outside of the Eververse Store. Those looking to collect as many shaders as possible won’t want to miss this opportunity.
