Diablo 4 Boulder Druid build roasted for speedy Uber Lilith takedown

A Diablo 4 player’s Boulder Druid was on the receiving end of some unfavorable comparisons despite their quick Uber Lilith kill. Its similarity to another build was met with a barrage of memes.

Diablo 4 added a bunch of new endgame bosses with unique loot tables at the launch of Season 2. These are fantastic inclusions and make build-crafting a breeze but the game’s penultimate challenge is still the fearsome Uber Lilith.

The shake-up to builds thanks to Season 2’s new Legendary and Unique gear has led to some mega-powerful playstyles in Diablo 4. That doesn’t mean Uber Lilith is a pushover and taking her down at speed should be celebrated… right?

Well unfortunately for Reddit user u/Responsible_Tale5607, their two-minute Uber Lilith kill copped more good-natured ribbing than praise. Their Boulder Druid build looked a little too similar to a Ball Lightning Sorcerer who pulled off the same feat.

A Ballad of Ball Lightning and Boulders

Both builds rely on surrounding your character with spinning projectiles that deal massive damage with the right perks set up. For this Boulder Druid build, the Dolmen Stone Unique Amulet causes Boulder casts to get caught up in your Hurricane.

u/Responsible_Tale5607’s Boulder Druid absolutely melted Uber Lilith with the combo. While they did earn some praise in the comments, most Diablo 4 players couldn’t resist calling this Boulder Druid “the poor man’s Ball Lightning Sorcerer.”

“When you are too stubborn to switch to Ball Lightning Sorc, so you play the Druid version,” one user quipped. More than a few others went for the low-hanging “we have Ball Lightning Sorcerer at home” fruit.

One user got in a snappy Invincible reference with their “look what they have to do to mimic a fraction of our power” quote from a Ball Lightning Sorcerer. To be fair, Boulder Druid and the Ball Lightning Sorcerer seem to be on pretty similar ground.

I mean, both seem pretty impressive to me. Even getting to Uber Lilith can be a challenge for players. My level 48 Rogue could never.
