Kick offers Twitch CEO partner after being denied by his own platform

Kick has offered to partner Twitch’s CEO Dan Clancy after his own channel was denied partner by the Amazon-owned platform.

Since the start of 2023, Kick has exploded in popularity within the streaming world, quickly becoming one of the top competitors in the space.

While the live-streaming platform has come under its fair of criticism and controversies, Kick has still signed some of the world’s biggest streamers. Among those include the likes of xQc, who signed a $70 million deal with the platform in June.

More recently, the Stake-backed streaming site has signed Twitch star NICKMERCS as well as rapper Tyga to their platform as they continue to grow. Now, they’re even offering to partner Twitch’s CEO, as well.

Twitch CEO offered partner on Kick

On October 21, Twitch’s CEO Dan Clancy shared on his Twitter/X account that his application to join his own platform’s partnership program had been denied.

“For anyone that got denied being a partner from Twitch, don’t feel so bad. Just got my Partner application denied. Did not tell anyone I was applying,” he wrote.

Now, poking a bit of fun, rival platform Kick has offered to partner with the Twitch CEO. “Yea thats rough man,” they quote retweeted, adding: “u want partner on Kick?”

Clancy has yet to publicly acknowledge Kick’s offer. However, as revealed by the Twitch CEO at TwitchCon Vegas, creators are no longer held down to just streaming on the Amazon-owned platform.

Now, Twitch’s guidelines have now been officially updated to allow streamers to broadcast across multiple platforms, which was previously prohibited. With that said, we could possibly see the Twitch CEO boot up a Kick stream in the future.
