SN meaning on Snapchat

SN has multiple different meanings across the internet, but on Snapchat, it is commonly used to mean ‘Screen Name.’ The term refers to the username or handle that represents a user on the platform.

It usually pops up in direct messages or group chats, when a user is asking for someone’s display name to add them on Snapchat. You might also see it on a friend’s story, with a caption like, “Changing my SN soon, stay tuned.”

However, across many other messaging apps, SN is also commonly understood to mean ‘Say Nothing.’ This slang is akin to saying “okay” or “cool,” implying that everything’s fine and there’s no need to worry.

You may see it used in this context on Snapchat, as well. As a result, make sure to be aware of what social media app you’re on before using the acronyms. After all, it could end up meaning something completely different.
