Five Guys customers share hack to get 2 burgers for price of 1

Two Five Guys customers have gone viral on TikTok after sharing a money-saving hack to get two burgers for the price of one.

TikTok couple Nate and Sarah (nateandsaraheats) took to the app to show their 99,000 followers how to save money when eating at fast food chain Five Guys.

“How to get two burgers for the price of one at Five Guys,” Sarah began in the clip, which has amassed over 225,000 views. “Next time you’re at Five Guys, just order a double cheeseburger with all the toppings,” Nate said.

They then explained how to turn the double into two single cheeseburgers by asking for an extra bun on the side. The pair advised to take one of the two patties, along with any other toppings or condiments, and transfer them over to the second bun.

The couple suggested only ordering one french fry since the portions at Five Guys are “huge.” With the purchase of just one double cheeseburger and a small fry, the couple spent $16.98. “That’s two meals for less than half the price of buying them separately,” Sarah concluded.

TikTok divided over Five Guys hack

Many viewers in the comments praised the budget-friendly food hack. “That’s pretty genius hack honestly! Especially if your kid only wants cheese and burger with no toppings!” one person wrote.

“This is so smart!!” another added.

“The fact that y’all was able to pull this off at FIVE GUYS,” a third applauded.

“That’s genius,” someone else commented.

Others, however, said the trick wouldn’t work at the fast food restaurant. “Most of the time they won’t give you a bun on the side because they know what you’re trying to do,” one user claimed.

Another said they tried this hack at their local Five Guys, and it “didn’t work” because “they wouldn’t give an extra bun!”
