A Walmart employee revealed that they purposefully removed their name tag around people they considered “weird,” and people were here for it.

In a clip that only lasted 16 seconds, a Walmart employee quickly went viral when they shared one of their hacks to avoid certain customers at work.

The text overlay on the video reads, “When customers make me feel weird and uncomfortable.”

She could be seen looking around, before carefully removing her name tag from her jacket. In the video’s description, she wrote simply “The world is scary.”

People sympathize with Walmart employee

After the video was posted on the platform, people were quick to sympathize with the Walmart employee.

“I work at lowes and the same thing happens to me with the construction workers that come in. It’s the most uncomfortable feeling ever,” one wrote.

One said that her manager allowed her to have an alias, writing: “I work at Walmart too. My boss lets me have a nickname cuz I’ve been there. My badge says Megatron. The kids love it lol.”

“No literally. I always got yelled at for not wearing my name tag when I did curbside. But I had multiple uncomfortable situations,” another shared.

One user, however, didn’t seem to mind customer’s addressing them, writing: “I don’t know if it’s because I’m a hair stylist or what, but I literally don’t care when strangers address me by my name, especially since I have a name tag.”

Another Walmart employee went viral, after they handed a customer their vest and asked them to quit for them.
