Epic Games Has More Bad News Regarding the Downtime for the Playground LTM in Fortnite – “We know waiting is the worst.”

Epic Games has provided another update regarding the downtime for the new Playground Limited Time Mode in Fortnite: Battle Royale and it is more bad news for those waiting to try it out.

The developers have announced that the downtime will be extended through the weekend, meaning that the mode will not be enabled again until the start of next week at the earliest.

This update was provided via two tweets posted on the official Fortnite Twitter page on June 29th.

We’re still unable to resolve issues preventing the launch of the Playground LTM. We are holding the release until next week to continue hammering away this weekend. We’re sorry we haven’t been able to get you in the LTM, and we know waiting is the worst.

We’ll update you with any additional information on Monday, July 2.

Although Epic mentions July 2nd as the next date for when they will provide additional information, there appears to be no set timetable for when the downtime will actually end and and the mode gets reinstated.

Unfortunately for those who have been eagerly waiting to play the highly anticipated LTM, the initially announced one day delay period has grown further and further ambiguous.

Launched alongside the v4.5 update early on June 27th, the Playground LTM offers players the chance to play alongside their friends and do whatevery they like in a private, low-pressure environment with the full Fortnite map at their disposal.

For full details on the new mode, you can read its description as provided by Epic Games in the v4.5 patch notes here.
