TSM Myth and NICKMERCS debate the Baller’s place in Fortnite

Members of the Fortnite pro community such as Myth, Ninja, NICKMERCS and others are split on whether the Baller is good or bad for the game.

When Epic Games announced planes were being vaulted at the beginning of Season 8 in Fortnite much of the pro community was very excited about the news.

Epic Games followed up this announcement by introducing the Baller is Season 8, a new vehicle that has a lot of mobility, but nothing like what the plane was capable of.

The Baller is not nearly as powerful as the plane was but it is still causing issues with prominent members of the Fortnite community.

It’s easy to look at the Baller as being a cheesy vehicle but it has been causing problems for players just because of its ability to wreak havoc and how unpredictable it can be.

TSM Myth doesn’t think the Baller is a good alternative to the planes

In a tweet Myth pretty much called out Fortnite and bashing the Baller at the same time.

“Oh how happy we were before we knew they were gonna adds balls,” he wrote.

While there are some players who agree with him, some of the bigger names in the Fortnite community shared their disagreements with that statement.

NICKMERCS, Ninja and WizKay all weighed on the debate.

NICKMERCS, Ninja and WizKay all think the Baller is a fine alternative to planes

NICKMERCS responded to Myth’s initial tweet saying he thinks the Baller is much better than the planes were.

“Hamster balls are a much better alternative,” NICKMERCS wrote. “The planes were ridiculous.”

Myth responded by saying both had their positives and negatives but he wouldn’t say the Baller is a much better alternative, to which Nick said the Baller was better than a plane by a mile and said Myth was trippin’.

Ninja agreed with Nick’s statement about the Baller is better than the plane and WizKay weighed in by saying he thinks the Baller is better but said neither are good for competitive Fortnite.

It’s easy to see why the Baller would be a fun vehicle to mess around in with friends but in a competitive setting, it’s hard to see where they fit in.

That’s not to say they are completely broken but many pros agree Fortnite has a long way to go before it gets its competitive scene ironed out and getting rid of vehicles does seem like something that should be considered.
