Fortnite Pro Vivid Hits Back at TFUE After Losing in a Scrim

FaZe’s TFUE and Fortnite Pro Vivid met in one of Fortnite’s unranked scrims, and things got a bit ugly between the two post-match.

Upon winning the scrim, massively popular streamer and pro gamer TFUE made some harsh remarks toward Vivid’s performance.

In a four-team lobby, Vivid went against TFUE in an unranked scrimmage. Vivid ultimately lost to TFUE’s team, taken out by a player with only 3 HP left. However, Vivid assured viewers that he wasn’t taking the game seriously in response to the chat’s exasperation.

“It’s just a game, man. It’s a four-team lobby. If I wanted him dead, I would have just fazed through with a drum gun and killed him… he had 3 HP left, which means he deserved to die. I shot twenty bullets at him and I was flying in the air.”

TFUE’s team win was a soaring success in his eyes. On his own stream, TFUE popped off in an R-rated celebration, making some untoward comments in regards to his opponent.

“Oh, he’s like, ‘Oh, he’s so weak, I got this! Suck my peen, dog! Get outta here, dude!”

Vivd’s response was measured, and he went on to say that he supports the Fortnite community in spite of the ill-treatment.

“I can’t even have fun in a fucking scrim game anymore without getting shit-talked. It’s bad. I stand by the Fortnite community so much, and shit like this happens. Why would I care about a random-ass scrim with five people in it? I mean hey, if he wants to sweat and talk shit because he killed me today, his ego must need a little boost or something.”

This interaction echoes the tensions in competitive Fortnite. With $100 million on the line for the game in the 2018-2019 season, the pressure is on – and things could get even more intense in the future.
