The jewel of the crown here is Bayonetta. Hideki Kamiya’s follow-up to Devil May Cry, it still is one of the most overtop video games to exist. It’s maybe only topped by its sequels in terms of manic attitude and scenes.

However, don’t sleep on Sprawl. The retro-inspired game features a combination of that classic fast-paced FPS action from F.E.A.R., with a fascinating focus on movability.

Also included is the fantastic Celeste. A brutally difficult platformer for perfectionists and a brutal tale of the self. Borderlands 2 still remains the peak of the series, simply improving on the original and adding another layer of personality to the world.

Finally, Bloodstained and Astalon will provide even more hours of great platforming action.

Capping it off is the Dreamcast to Gamecube title Sonic Adventure 2. While the game doesn’t hold up in any capacity, it’s always fun to roll down the nostalgia road, right? That, or you can crank up the Crush 40 as you attempt to wrangle the game’s squirrely controls.
