Persona 3 Reload players have noticed a small but impactful UI feature that they can’t help but love and it’s surprisingly easy to miss.

Atlus’ remake of Persona 3, a fan-favorite JRPG from 2006, launched on February 2 to an overwhelmingly positive reception.

Though it is a faithful remake, Persona 3 Reload adds a variety of new features including Theurgy Skills and Twilight Fragments giving new life to a classic title.

However, it isn’t one of these more obvious new features that have impressed fans but instead a subtle aspect of the UI design that players can’t help but love.

Persona 3 Reload UI trick proves fan favorite

Impressed by one of the UI features in Persona 3 Reload, a fan shared the addition on X/Twitter in a post that has gone on to receive over 5,000 likes.

The post states, “I’m sure most people have realized this by now, but it’s genuinely so insane that the battle UI uses the costume you have currently equipped,” showing the feature in action with Mitsuru’s Maid Outfit appearing in her skills menu.

Equally impressed by the feature, another fan replied, “Yeah the filters they’ve cooked up for the menus and ui are so cool. I really appreciate the persona teams committing to amazing menus and UI I’m really looking forward to when persona 6 becomes a thing because I feel like that games UI will make love to you.”

Others expressed similar praise responding, “Literally screeched when I saw this in game it’s so damn cool,” and “THEY COOKED SO HARD WITH THE STYLE OF THIS GAME.”

Though it’s obvious when you see it, it can be easy to miss as another player admitted, “WAIT THEY DO??? IVE HAD AKI IN BUTLER MODE FOR MONTHS AND NEVER NOTICED HUHHHH.”

Looking to explain how it potentially works, the most liked reply theorized, “I wouldn’t be surprised if it was the 3d model with a special shader trick,” with the custom shader automatically being applied over the relevant model.
