Which oath should you swear in Banishers: Ghost of New Eden?

Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden will let players select the path they want to follow by having Red swear an oath to Antea. However, which oath should you choose?

As you’ll be able to tell from the promotional art, Antea, one of Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden’s two primary protagonists will become a ghost early in the story. This not only derails the plans both characters had, it also forces them to make an agonizing choice. Once they complete their mission, do they “Ascend” Antea to the afterlife, with all its uncertainty, or do they try to resurrect her, knowing this will lead them down a path of mass murder?

Both Red and Antea will discuss the dilemma they face. Do they selfishly try to reunite, knowing it goes against everything they stand for? Or do they accept Antea’s fate and resolve to never see each other again? It’s a tough choice, and whatever Red decides he’ll then need to swear an oath to Antea that he’ll stay on this path. The question is, do you swear to resurrect Antea, or have her Ascend to as all ghosts should?

Banishers: Ascend or Resurrect Antea?

This oath is an important part of Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, so don’t choose a path lightly. What you choose to do will impact the ending you get, but if you stray from your chosen path you could end up with a different ending.

If you think reuniting the happy couple is the most important thing, then vow to Resurrect Antea. However, this will mean sacrificing and “Blaming” as many people as you can when you resolve a haunting case. If you loose your stomach for murdering the innocent, it can lead to you breaking your oath, failing to resurrect Antea and unlocking a different ending.

If you think that Ascending Antea to the afterlife is the right thing to do, then vow to do that. Although, this will mean you’ll need to Ascend or Banish most of the ghosts you come across throughout the game, while preparing yourself to say goodbye to Antea forever. Again, if you falter and start sacrificing people, you’ll break you oath and change the ending.

Essentially, it only matters what oath you swear if you’re planning on unlocking that ending. Remember, the minute you swear the oath you lock yourself out of one ending, but depending on how well you stick to your promise, you could unlock another three potential endings.
