Helldivers 2 players are calling for buffs to the Senator revolver since its current state is rather underwhelming.

The core loop of Helldivers 2 is putting power in the hands of the players as they’re given a myriad of weaponry and tools to deliver freedom across the galaxy.

While the experience has been well-received, some balancing aspects have been a topic of concern for players. Notably, most primaries feel weak compared to the Breaker shotgun, leading players to focus on meta builds versus having fun.

As more players experiment with the in-game weaponry, the list of ideal buffs grows, with players sharing feedback on one of the game’s saddest guns — the Senator.

For those who unlocked it, the Senator revolver has been a topic of debate among the Helldivers community. Some players absolutely love the weapon for its unreal power, while others feel it’s underwhelming due to its reload speed.

In a post shared to the Helldivers subreddit, one player shared their dream buff for the Senator revolver, aka a speed loader.

The solution wasn’t unpopular with many agreeing changes are absolutely needed. “Mind-boggling they don’t use speed loaders. We need them ASAP along with a large increase in sidearm ammo,” one Helldivers 2 player said.

Others replied with balancing changes: “Either remake the revolver a lot more powerful and keep the reload the same, or get rid of the one-by-one reload and don’t touch the power level.”

Another replied with a neat reload redesign: “Round by round if there are bullets left. Swift reload if you emptied it entirely.”

With Helldivers 2 seemingly in a better place after the server struggles at launch, it’s safe to say future updates will likely address player concerns.
