Wives of Helldivers 2 players have started up a “support group” on TikTok to help their partners spread Democracy and kill bugs.

Helldivers 2 has become quite the hit for Arrowhead Studios as the long-awaited sequel breaks player records to the point it’s causing server issues for the devs across both PlayStation and PC.

Naturally, as the game grows in immense popularity, the partners of Helldivers 2 players are taking notice at how much time they’re spending on the game.

And it seems the wives of many in the Helldivers 2 community have started up a “support group” to help their partners spread Democracy and kill bugs.

In a TikTok by @sarahebaus, she gave some tips for how wives and girlfriends can be supportive of their partner’s missions in Helldivers 2.

“Wives and girlfriends of Helldiver soldiers, so we need to do our part. I’ve been taking notes on how we can support the cause on the language that we need to understand to be part of the lore,” she said in her TikTok.

She recommends wives and girlfriends tell their partners phrases before they “serve” their duties on Helldivers, such as, “The only good bug is a dead one,” or “I’m doing my part, you go do yours.”

And after they’re finished with their daily “duties” on Helldiver, phrases like “The automatons never stood a chance against you,” or saluting them and saying “I must join the cause.”

Of course, this is all in good fun, as it’s very reminiscent of the mindless amounts of civic duty that’s present in films like Starship Troopers, which is very much an inspiration of the Helldivers game.

In fact, ever since Helldivers 2 came out, there has been a resurgence of interest for the film thanks to the games’ heavy inspiration.
